Tumbleweed Bicycle Co. announces its second bicycle model, the Stargazer, a nimble and balanced drop bar mountain touring bike designed for loaded trail riding.
The Stargazer is at home on trails, singletrack and gravel roads whether unladen or with racks and bags on an adventure. It is a direct descendant of Tumbleweed’s first bike model, the Prospector, and shares much of the same tubing and mountain bike geometry, with a shorter reach to accommodate drop handlebars, and a lighter weight overall package.
The Stargazer redefines expectations of what a drop bar mountain bike can be. “At Tumbleweed, we produce best in class off road touring products. We designed the Stargazer to be a really fun, confidence inspiring bike that covers a wide range of terrain and is optimized for bikepacking and off road touring,” shared Daniel Molloy, founder of Tumbleweed and designer of the Stargazer.
The Stargazer is available in two colors: starry night and bone. Frameset including frame, fork, seat clamp, and front/rear thru-axles will retail for $1350 and complete bikes featuring DT 350 hubs, SRAM Rival road shifters mated to a GX Eagle drivetrain and a 125mm PNW dropper post start at $3875 with upgrade options available. A very limited number of complete bike builds will be offered for the first run of Stargazers. The presale for the Stargazer begins Tuesday, August 17, 2021, at 9am MT at www.tumbleweed.cc. Delivery of frames is anticipated December 2021, with complete bikes built to order and delivered in the order that deposits are placed.
