Pretty bauble ...

On slightly happier news this last weekend my friend Allison came to visit. We've been friends for ... oh 7 years now. Wow. Long time :-)

She drove down from Michigan for the weekend. Was supposed to be here on Friday, but the BLACKOUT interupted her plans. Note to all you anarchists out there ... gas pumps run on electricity ... so do atm machines .... even your bank HQ'd in downtown New York all run on electricity. She couldn't access her account because the Bank's Database went down! Took 4 days for the records to be straightened out. Whew.

We didn't do much. Just relaxed and caught up. I've noticed with most of my close friends that no matter how much time has passed since we last were together that it's just like no time has passed. Feels really cool. Had a small BBQ on Sunday. That was nice.

My friend Anshul is closing his house today. Whoohoo. Of course the scumbag managed to get such a GREAT rate on the loan that his payments are LESS than the 1 room apartment that he is renting right now. I wanted to strangle the man. Kudo's to him :-)

And on a whim the two of us might go on a 3 day trip to Amsterdam in October. UAL has ticketes from DC to Amsterdam for less than $300. It's incredible. So we're probably going to go for a quick 3 day trip. Just have to remember that no matter how hungover we are on Monday we have to be at work ...

Other than that things are going pretty good. I got my posters and frames from California last week. Notice that I didn't say that I got the glass. No, that I have to get cut. Nearest place is Gaithersburg so I'll probably try to get that taken care of Monday or Tuesday next week. But that means my walls won't be so bare anymore and the place might look like a home ... twisted and demented 'cause thats the type of posters I have ... ;-)

Have a good one all.

The Good, The Bad, & The Ugly :-)

A month now. And I really don't know why.
The not knowing what is going on is the hardest thing.
