This entry used to contain a a short story of how upset I was regarding events recently at my work.
In some ways it was not fair to a few of my colleagues so I have removed it after careful consideration. But I will leave the final line as it is still completely appropriate :-)

A few months ago a colleague at work described me as an optimist. I of course was more than a little confused. I most often ascribe myself to the pessimist side of life.
When I asked how he could ever come up with this he said: "Well, no matter how bad things get at work you always come in the next day. A pessimist would give up. An Optimist keeps coming back in the believe that it will get better."
Well, the events of that last few days have convinced me that they will not get better.
I am no longer an optimist.
